Since the beginning, Wood4Good has brought Vermonters of every background together in service and community with one core belief: no Vermonter should be left out in the cold. At its heart, our work is about service and the recognition that when one of us is struggling, we all feel it — and we all have a responsibility to help ease that burden.
We provide more than firewood; we provide safety, security, and dignity. A warm home is a basic human need, yet many of the families we serve live with the constant anxiety of not having enough wood to make it through the winter. Recipients often tell us that the worry itself — the uncertainty of whether they will stay warm — can be as heavy as the cold. By ensuring a reliable supply of heat, we help restore stability and deliver greater peace of mind.
